Koek susters


Ingredients
Flour 2 cups
Butter 2 ounce
Yeast 2 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt ¼ tsp
Eggs 2
Warm milk 2 tbsp
Ingredients for sugar syrup
Sugar 1 cup
Water ¾ cup
Method
Boil till syrupy
Method
Sieve flour add in salt add in eggs and all the dry ingredients add milk, knead the dough soft like pizza, leave to rise for 30 minutes, punch down dough, roll into ¼ inch thick, cut into strip plait and fry, dip into syrup for just 2 minutes, remove and sprinkle with desiccated coconut.
